Fantastic overall experience! The mocktails were delicious. The dynamite shrimp appetizer was a great start and the Yellowstone Filet was cooked to perfection. The dessert was delectable - rich and creamy while still being citric and floral. Gibril was our server and was absolutely delightful and attentive!
We went to The Yellowstone Restaurant for a special occasion for dinner. We made a reservation which I would recommend doing so. The night we went, most of the place was reserved for some event. There were only 6-7 tables and the little bar for the rest of the diners. The event was a bit loud, but it is what it is. The selections are of course on the pricy side. We got the ribeye and the seafood stuffed pork chop. The pork chop dish was amazing. There was a crab shrimp and maybe even lobster mixture, placed between two lightly breaded and deep-fried pork chops. The pork chops were cooked extremely well. They were very juicy and very flavorful. There was around three broccolini’s on top, with a sauce on the side. If you come here, I would recommend this dish. My wife got the 14 ounce ribeye that came with asparagus all on top of a scoop of mashed potatoes. She got the ribeye rare, which is always a gamble, in this case, the steak was not warm anymore. The steak still tasted very good and the mashed potatoes were delicious as well. Both meals come with a normal salad. The menu is a little misleading/confusing as it says that the dinner selections come with a side or a salad, but with these meals, there was no option. I guess that’s only applicable to other dinner choices. We also got the Yuzu cheesecake which was very tasty. Overall, the food tasted very good, but I felt like there wasn’t enough food for the price. It gives me Sandpiper vibes where there’s not much food, but the quality and flavor is high.
We thoroughly enjoyed our quiet lunch here. The service was top notch and the atmosphere was calm and pleasant. We enjoyed everything we were served and felt it was a unique experience not common at other restaurants in town. A great place for a special meal.
This place was awesome. Great atmosphere, the food and drinks were excellent. Our server Kirsten was amazing. She was fast, and sufficient. Made sure everything was perfect. She was very knowledgeable with the drinks and the history of the place. We met the owners and they are the most down to earth people. There is so much history in this establishment and you can tell the owners and the staff take pride in making it the best experience.

What an absolute GEM for the locals of Pocatello...I hope you realize how lucky you are to have this place as a gathering spot!!! The end of a day was so well rewarded with an awe-filled walk through the main floor of the beautifully restored century old structure and just imagining what it might have been like as a functioning accommodation. Fabulous conversation with Jay in the restaurant bar whose suggestion for my "last meal" (figuratively speaking of course !!) were the delicious mussels in garlic broth and some melt-in-your-mouth fried buttered French loaf toast. I would have loved to hear her band with her BASS playing in the bar. I made my way through the well-stocked whiskey bar with a wee dram while sitting in the sumptuous and enveloping leather chairs. I would have loved to have stayed. Finishing off the evening in the Union Tap Room with the friendly and delightful Dakota who suggested a full-bodied pilsner while I enjoyed watching their TRIVIA NIGHT. What a refreshing respite but sadly short-lived. Thanks so much to everyone at THE YELLOWSTONE for the memories (...and a reminder to finish the final season of YELLOWSTONE when I got home.).
My wife & I finally got a date night without the kids. We went to the Yellowstone because the atmosphere is amazing. Gibril, our waiter, was the best. The food was great & his service was even better. We will go back because he made our experience amazing. Thank you Gibril!
The service was incredible! The bread and oils, complimentary champagne, and the spinach and artichoke dip to start were amazing and then we had the Idaho Trout and the Yellowstone Filet and out was all cooked to perfection and brought out promptly! Our server Gibril offered great suggestions for dunks and was so friendly and attentive! We will definitely be coming back!
